Resorcepack: Coquest
MC Version: 1.7.10

For sometime I've been contemplating uploading my private projects and share them with the community. Here is my first upload.

This is a Roman inspired Villa located in a cluster of islands. The landscape just like the buildings were all hand made.

You wil find:

MainHouse

  • Grand Entrance
  • A Private Chapel
  • Dinning Room
  • Kitchen with Cellar
  • Bathhouse
  • Aviary
  • Private Library
  • Master Bedroom
  • 2 additional Bedrooms
  • Garden
  • Fountain
  • Statue

Other

  • Slave tunnel
  • Slave Sleeping quarters
  • Slave Bathhouse
  • Winery
  • Stable

I hope you enjoy my work.

I would love to hear from you. Please comment your thoughts and ideas what you liked and disliked. Any Future project you would like to see. If you use this build in anyway give credit where credit is due share the info.

Note of importance:
For the forcible future I will ONLY be building in 1.7.10 with Conquest resource pack. You may choose to use something different but I can't guarantee it will look nice.

I used some assets from Conquered_ (Trees&Stones). I recomend to check it out if you are intrested.

Yes, The resource pack is Conquest I utilized the 1.7.10 version without it I am unable to add so much detail to the world like the pots and curtains. I would highly recommend you to use it to view all my builds as the builds will look ood and very simplistic. All the information is in the description.

Sometimes less is more a lot of people forget that. A good custom map is all about the atmosphere it provides, adding too much epic clutter will undermined it.

Sorry I am not exactly sure what you refer to with Mods? I utilize Kuda shaders for the screenshots and the build uses Conquest v10 for 1.7.10

Love how the villa looks in the first picture. Although there really are some things you can improve on. The interiors for example feels really empty in some places. Also the cellar doesnt really fit with the build imo. Should've been alot more fancy and not just some normal stone.

Fair point. I agree the interior could use more details. The cellar was meant to be simplistic. The villa for me is more of a “Cottage house”. I don’t see a Wealthy roman living in it for more then a few months. If I were to redo the build there a few things I would change. Give it more variation to the stone work especially on the cellar would be one.

As I’m not working in a server I find it very tedious to go for those really impactful Interiors. The constant world editing for meta data and log in and out for biome changes really make it undesirable to spend too long on it

Yup, metadatas are a pain in singleplayer. Why not join a server? I play on a 1.7.10 server with the metacycler. Really makes life alot easier.

You have a good eye for placement and sizing. Your build is perfectly packed with little things. Especially liking the wineyards!

I would avoid the use of too many bright colours as an interior design thing, but you've got it under control. Keep at it!

I recommend the A'therys Ascended RP for building as well, it's directly descended from Conquest.

I apreciate the complement and glad you enjoyed it. I will taken note on the interior desing. To be honest I consider my interior skills to be my weakest. I shall look into A'therys Ascended RP.

"I would avoid the use of too many bright colours as an interior design thing"

i'd say that's what makes it interesting. It gives everything a warm and realistic note.

Beeing said, i like it how it is. Wonderful first project and looking forward to see more :)

ps: if you're more into romanian style/theme, take a look at THIS

Oh my bad lol. I still do think my interior design needs a little work but i appreciate the kind words. Im not particularly inclined to roman builds but the add-on looks amazing I will use it thanks for the info.

I had inspiration to build the bathhouse the rest is really just the extra.
