Shaggleton International Airport
Shaggleton International Airport (SHG) is a Minecraft airport build heavily inspired by O'Hare International Airport (ORD) in Chicago, Illinois. The airport features 4 terminals (domestic 1, 2, and 3; international 4), eleven lettered concourses (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, K, L, M), 185 gates, and 34 airlines. The airport was designed to look realistic, modelling O'Hare in a suitable manner, while also incorporating other design concepts to give it a more modern feel. The airplanes are all Boeing (I didn't want to spend a lot of time building aircraft) and are all based off designs from Lord Dakr's YouTube channel.
After a major overhaul to the original design (greatly expanding size and improving build quality/appearance), the airport is ~25% complete. A detailed progress report is below:
Terminal 1
Terminal 1 is United's main hub and contains their departures and domestic arrivals. Star Alliance partners Lufthansa and ANA also depart out of Terminal 1. Concourse A handles larger planes like the 777 and is therefore used for international departures, while Concourses B and C are for United mainline flights. Satellite D is located northeast of the terminal and is used for United regional flights. A United Polaris lounge is found in the main hall, while three United Clubs are located in Concourses B, C, and D.
Terminal and United Polaris Lounge: 95%
Concourse A (Gates A1-A7): 50%
Concourse B (Gates B1-B17): 80%
Concourse C (Gates C1-C21): 70%
Concourse D (Gates D1-D32): 70%
Terminal 2
Terminal 2 houses all non-hub domestic carriers as well as Air Canada. These airlines are Delta, Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, Virgin America, JetBlue, Frontier Airlines, and Spirit Airlines. Concourse E is used for Delta and Air Canada flights while Concourse F is used for Alaska Airlines and other low-cost airlines. A Delta Sky Club can be found in the main hall.
Terminal and Delta Sky Club: 30%
Concourse E (Gates E1-E10): 50%
Concourse F (Gates F1-F11): 50%
Terminal 3
Terminal 3 acts as American Airline's hub, and also serves international departures for oneworld partners Iberia and JAL. Concourse G and H are for American mainline departures while Concourse K handles 777's. Satellite L, northwest of the terminal, is for American regional flights. A Flagship Lounge and an Admirals Club are situated in the main hall, and another Admirals Club is in Satellite L.
Terminal and Lounges: 10%
Concourse G (Gates G1-G18): 50%
Concourse H (Gates H1-H13): 50%
Concourse K (Gates K1-K8): 50%
Concourse L (Gates L1-L27): 0%
International Terminal 4
Comparable to O'Hare's Terminal 5, International Terminal 4 handles all of SHG's international arrivals as well as departures for non-US based carriers besides Air Canada. The terminal is separate from the three domestic terminals and is connected by an underground train between Terminal 4 and the Atrium. Its only concourse, Concourse M, will be able to serve 737's, 757's, and 777's. It will contain several lounges and CBP/immigration facilities.
Development on this terminal has not started yet, but will as soon as the first three terminals are complete.
Terminal: 0%
Concourse M (Gates M1-M21) and Lounges: 0%
Other Facilities
Shaggleton International will also have 5 parking lots- P1 and P3 as outdoor daily parking for Terminals 1 and 3 respectively, P2 as the main domestic garage with hourly and daily parking for Terminals 1, 2, and 3; P4 for International Terminal 4 and P5 for economy parking as well as rental car pick-up/drop-off. It will contain the Hilton Hotel similar to O'Hare, and the three domestic terminals will be connected underground by the Atrium, a large hall containing the train to International Terminal 4 and the CTA Blue Line Station. The entire airport is connected to Interstates 90 and 190.
While the airport is largely based off O'Hare, inspiration was drawn from many other airports including JFK in New York (Terminals 7 and 8), LAX in Los Angeles (the Tom Bradley International Terminal), SIN in Singapore, NRT in Japan (Terminal 2), ATL in Atlanta, and LHR in London.
This is an exciting attempt for me to recreate one of the world's busiest, largest airports in Minecraft while also adding my own touches to it, as O'Hare in general is quite a boring, ugly airport. Please comment and give a diamond as this is my first post on Planet Minecraft! Thanks!

Worth pointing out as well that they were turned into Minecraft-compatible pictures with an external program.
Tarmac will be added once the terminals are complete as I thought that this would be more logical. I will probably need some help with the runway markings and that stuff so if you know this stuff, I would appreciate feedback a lot!
