What is Showdown?
Showdown is a massive team based Kit PvP experience. It includes 4 exciting game modes, 19 huge maps, 10 unique kits, hidden secrets, and so much more!
Dominate
Dominate is a gamemode where 2 teams capture up to 5 points across the map. Players can capture a point for their team by standing on them. While a point is captured, it will gain score for their team. The first team to fill their score meter wins. In Dominate, stepping on an emerald block will give a boost of score for your team.
Payload
Payload is a gamemode where Red team must push a minecart towards Blue team's base. Blue team must push the minecart back to prevent it from reaching their base before the match timer runs out. As the minecart is pushed, Red team will capture checkpoints, which grant locations to teleport to from your base by stepping on sea lantern teleporters. In Payload, stepping on an emerald block will add or subtract time from the match timer.
Capture the Flag
Capture the Flag is a gamemode where 2 teams steal flags from each other's bases and bring them to their own base to score a point. The team with the most flags scored at the end of the game wins. In Capture the Flag, stepping on an emerald block will give your team a burst of speed.
Eliminations
Eliminations is a gamemode where 2 teams gain points by eliminating enemy players. The first team to reach the required amount of points wins the game. In Eliminations, stepping on an emerald block will give your team 1 point, and will also remove a point from the other team.
How do kits work?
In Showdown, there are 10 unique kits to choose from. Kits are selected inside of your team's base. You may choose a different kit at the beginning of each life. There may be no more than 1 player per kit on each team. Every kit has many abilities and passive effects, resulting in tons of different playing strategies. Most kit abilities need energy to be used.
What's energy?
Energy is used to power up your kits abilities. Each kit will naturally regenerate energy. Energy can also be gained by stepping on diamond blocks. Stepping on a gold block will refill your kit, including your base energy count.
