Many elements of Singapore's architecture remains unrecognised and unappreciated. And no I'm not talking about your expensive glass crystal skyscrapers with curves on every possible axis. Im talking about the type of architecture that is practical, effective and can easily be standarsized, to save cost. The type you can build across a city and create a consistent yet unique atmosphere which differentiates the city from others. Much like New York, Paris, Tokyo and London; Singapore has its own style of repetitive and recognisable structures with its 6 generations of HDB apartments, the brutalist wave of the 70s and modern takes on classical Sino-Japanese, Malay and British architecture.

In my project I have compiled an amalgamation of my most favourite Singaporean structures not limited to any specific area or time period, some even resurrected from real world demolition. I hope this project sheds light on the beauty of Singapore's vibrant cosmopolitan atmosphere and how its timeless style may continue to evolve.
