This is a model of the main ship you fly, the Delphinus, in Skies of Arcadia for Sega Dreamcast and Gamecube.
It is made solely by me with no editing programs or inventory editing. (Not even flying, since 99% of this was done months ago before the re-adding of creative mode) Originally made in February 2011, never uploaded before now.
- Dimensions are 41W x 75L x 47H
*Please note some of these pictures are from when I first made it and others more recently. The old pictures are of things I never changed between now and then. You can probably tell which are old and which are new by the lighting, chests, etc.
This ship is more than a show piece. It is purposely made the size it is so it fits in a normally generated world. I personally do not like to make something that doesn't fit without a big hole cut into the ground. Rather than just something for looks, this is made to be a fully functional base, either for single player or multiplayer. Aside from the bridge, dinning room, outer decks, and tower that are re-created as close as possible to the game, there's a full farm, sleeping area, blacksmith, huge storage space, and kitchen. I even added a few things for fun like a cell block/jail, captain's quarters, and water fountain.
Also, you can probably notice that aside from age, there are differences in location in the screenshots, and that's because they're from 3 different worlds I pasted this into after it's initial construction. With the new creative mode for 1.8 I used that to clean up a couple things on the outside easily and so I re-shot pictures of the outside in those worlds. Some of the interior pictures are older since I hardly changed the inside, aside from the few new additions since 1.8.(You'll see some of the new blocks used, that's them)
I originally made this about February 2011 and, as stated, have made a few relatively minor changes to the interior since the youtube video I uploaded at that time. Mainly I transformed the maintenance area below the cargo hold(that used to hold a cannon(just for show) like the ones on the outside deck) into a small functional farm. I also used the new iron bar blocks to separate the two cells in the cell block. The area under the dinning/luxury room has been turned into a kitchen as well that has plenty of room to store lots of food or add blocks from food mods to cook new things.

Anyway, reason I'm posting isn't just to congradulate you on the nice build, but I was wondering if you had used any images or just the raw game files for reference. I've got everything done except for the propellers on the back done and I can't seem to find anything to base it off of
I almost 90% used the game itself, wondering around the inside areas and looking at the hull. Otherwise I just found a couple small pictures of it from the side to make sure I was making the bulge and blue highlights look right. There's not a whole lot the get a better look at the propellers than the game. I was surprised just how incredibly hard it was to find images at all for this thing.
I played through Skies of Arcadia: Legends for the NGC numerous times. Definitely one of my most favorite RPG's!
A very job well done!!
P.S. You had to choose that flag. =P
And you bet, that's why I made sure to use the old screenshot of when I still had my customized art file. =P
