This is my modded version of Khanaris' Skyfish shuttle. I added a four barrel bolt cannon to the nose of the craft and put in sliding piston doors on the sides. This is not a finished project, as I need to change some blocks around to make it a bit more pleasing to the eye.

Really like the new look of the hull! It's especially good work given the difficulty of not having under-half-blocks (you know what I mean).

Yeah it would be nice to have ceiling half slabs. I'll probably be leaving the hull the same, other than swapping a few planks for iron. Just doesn't look right to me will so much wood.

Unfortunately iron is pretty boring in the default texture back. There aren't a lot of options, though. I also use Stone Slabs a fair bit. Also remember that you can always use the various Redstone parts like buttons and pressure plates as decoration to add interest.

I would really like upper-side slabs. I would also like inverted stair sections, but I am afraid of how much rework I would have if they were actually released.

I used the better blocks mod for a bit which has both of these things. Unfortunately Zeppelin mod threw a fit and crashed my game when I made a craft with upside down stairs. It didn't know how to render them properly XD

Who knows, maybe after all the adventure updates Notch will put out a decoration update.
