Hi there!
Yes, I do have yet another messy medieval build for your critique done! I give you: The Smithy!
This build started off waaaaaaaay too big. I was working on more forge designs after my BUD switch design (here), but I got a bit carried away.I scaled it down to 8x7 with a 3x4 interior and it turned out MUCH better. The actual smithing area outside adds a bit more, but not too much.
Because I made the walls 3 blocks high rather than 2, I felt like I needed to do something with the extra ceiling space. I used gates for rafters and elevated the bed onto a little platform, with some storage space underneath! The log table returns with torch and pot for decor, and a few squares of brown carpet rounds out the interior.
Or almost. The fireplace is actually a part of the forge, making use of the fire both inside and outside. As for the smithing area, it's nothing terribly special. Anvil, quenching basin, worktable. All the necessities, nothing fancy. I did like putting the awning over the forge though, as it helped to incorporate the forge into the structure of the house itself.
Now the roof was fun. I varied it more than I had in my last two builds. I still stuck with the spruce wood and mixed in the oak, but I used a combination of stairs and half slabs to give it a more irregular look that I liked much better.
I also started playing a bit more with exterior decor, and added in a little path to the smithy.
As always, thanks to Stykernag for the help and encouragement!

Additional Notes
This one was a pretty simple build all-in-all, but so far probably the best.As always, thanks to Stykernag for the help and encouragement!
