PRJ-2501 'GALLIFREY'

Finally finished, schematic added.

The ship is 187 blocks long by 73 wide by 50 tall.

Features:

Five numbered triple gun batteries
Close-in 'air defense' batteries
Command tower
Large engine pods with ship recognation code and name

Full interior includes:

Engine room, captain's quarters, XO's quarters, galley, main bridge, aux bridge, bathrooms, toilets, many officer's quarters, many enlisted quarters, arboretum, library, two-story lounge with dance floor, cargo bay, mess hall, training room with punching bags and boxing ring, science bay, sickbay. And I still feel I left a few things out.

Times ship burnt down: 2 (friggin friggin lava-eyes / nose / engines)

Feel free to download the schematic. I can't really stop you from modifgying it either, and that's ok: if you improve on my ship, I'd love to see your changes. I can't even stop you from claiming it as your own. I'd prefer you didn't though. It's a bit of a dick move to do.

Feel free to use the schematic in whatever compilation map you wanna build, but if you redistribute it, I would very much like to be credited for the ship. I built all of it myself, though I based the skull on one found here on planetminecraft.

For practical people:
Gallifrey is a pretty ship, with a gothic-industrial design aesthetic. Enjoy.

For roleplayers:
Captain William Greer was awarded command of the Obsidian-class frigate 'PRJ-2501 Gallifrey' for his exploits during the Terran - Gomorian conflict. After the war was over he went rogue, taking his ship and trusted crew to the fringes of explored space, there to embark on a career of piracy. He modified the ship, trplacing the Gallifrey's own 1500 gigawatt turrets with the 7900 gigawatt triple-gun turrets from a decomissioned Dominion-class battleship, replacing the standard Obsidian class engine-core with a larger and more powerful one to be able to supply the gun turrets with power and replacing the prow of the ship with a large skull. The Obsidian-class having the latest generation of laminated quadritanium / ceramic / pliosteel armor and very powerful q-space jumpdrives means that Captain Greer posesses a ship to be reckoned with. A fast, survivable, hard-hitting FTL-capable space battleship.

For sci-fi geeks:
I got a lot of inspiration from Uchuu Senkan Yamato (general layout, command tower), Battlefleet Gothic (general hull design) and Captain Harlock (skull nose). The designation PRJ-2501 is a reference to the first Ghost in the Shell movie, who'se story revolved around a rogue AI called Project 2501. The name Gallifrey is ofcourse a reference to Doctor Who.
