Steamworld is filled with small mechs that help out with different jobs. Mainly used for transportation of goods over rough terrain, mechs are six-legged and versatile for almost any job.
In order of images:
1. Base Design
Sold for a hefty sum of currency, the base design mech (Mk. 3) features two double chests and a single combustion engine. The base design is extremely popular and bought everywhere in Steamworld in mech dealerships because they are way cheaper than airships to purchase and maintain. The Mk. 3 is different from it's predecessors with more power, and more legs.
2. Scrapper Mech
Scrappers are a common sight around Steamworld. The scrapper mech has many replaced parts, an increased storage, and probably other various upgrades. The saying goes, "You'll never find a scrapper mech that is alike". Their expanded storage allows scrappers to store more parts and pieces they find in the wastelands of Steamworld.
3. Cargo Mech
As the name states, the cargo mech is exclusively modified to carry cargo. The mech is outfitted with a simple AI so that no pilot is necessary for its operation. The lack of weapons and protection on the mech means that this mech must be protected by mercenaries or hired security. Many cargo mechs will travel along protected trade routes. It should be noted that the cargo mech is also widely popular amongst Nomad groups.
4. Militarized Mech
Private security companies might modify the base design mech and add weapons to it. The militarized mech could have a number of different weapons to it, the most popular being the twin machine guns. The militarized mech usually sports extra ammunition storage and a protected bullet-resistant glass cockpit for additional protection. The legs of the mech are also usually modified to be more durable.
