T-64BV model 2022

In February 2022, the state enterprise "Kharkiv Armored Plant" reported on the testing of a new modernization of the T-64BV tank of the 2022 model.

It was reported that the tank was equipped with new third-generation observation and aiming devices, anti-cumulative rear lattice screens and rubber shields on the turret. In addition, the combat vehicle's fuel system was improved and additional armored protection for the fuel tanks was installed.

According to Martin Brest, along the entire length of the tanks, the sides are protected by 12 mm thick plates of armored steel of the "71" brand, additional armor protection was also provided to the remotely controlled machine gun and its ammunition box.

The T-64BV of the 2022 model received new modern radio stations to replace the old Soviet ones. From now on, this combat vehicle has, in particular, navigation, internal and external communication systems that fully comply with NATO standards. It is also known about the installation of a digital driver's panel, on which the main indicators of the tank are displayed.

In addition, a new 12.7 mm Snipex Laska K-2 machine gun was installed on the test sample.
