In the making of Star Wars, along with certain things that were changed (i.e. stormtroopers having sheilds and lightsabers, Han solo being a reptile, among other things, the Tantive IV was supposed to be Han Solo's ship, but due to some reason that I cant seem to remember, they changed it.  I would've liked it better if it was Han's ship, the Tantive IV really didnt do much in the entire saga of star wars, besides being captured in a firefight by an imperial star destroyer.

I see.  That's very interesting!  Never knew they considered putting Harrison Ford in a lizard costume!  :P
