Hey there! °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°
Recently my love for Doctor Who reignited, so I decided to pick up this project that I had put on hold a while ago. It's a collaboration with user vistaero.
We first built the copper console to use it with the TARDIS plugin, when we finished I had the urge to make all the TARDIS rooms xD, and that's how the project was born. I like to start big projects now, it seems ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
(This build does not require the plugin or any mods, it’s a normal map. The TARDIS exterior is made with invisible item frames, maps, and a player head. And just under the doors there is a command block, it teleports you to the interior).
The rooms included for now are:
I tried my best with the library, but in the episode you can't see clearly all the layout and I was very confused in some parts... I didn't know where Clara was supposed to be coming from, and when I thought I did the next frame proved I was wrong (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻ so I don't really know where exactly the book of the Time War should be, but I put it there xD.
The engine room is completely made up, since in the episode we only see the frozen explosion. While adding redstone inside the engine we created by accident a movement with the trapdoors (that I put there just for decoration) that reminds me of a heartbeat, since the TARDIS is "alive" I thought it was very fitting, so we left it like that.
I also have to mention that all the redstone work is vistaero's doing because I'm a disaster with that ┐(´д`)┌.
Oh and thanks to him I was able to create this really cool effect for the bedroom windows!
The shader used for the screenshots is Complementary Reimagined. The windows look good without shaders too, but with this one it looks cooler (⌐■_■)
PS: Working toilet design by japanese youtuber SEVEN: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lE2jhvYaNaE&t
By the way, if you're a Doctor Who fan, check out the game that vistaero is making! It's called Blue Box Simulator and, as the name suggests, It's a TARDIS simulator. It's really cool, you can fly the TARDIS, explore the console room, and fight the Daleks!
It's available for Android and iPhone (=^・ω・^=)
That's all for now. I hope you like our TARDIS! I'll try to update the project soon! ᕕ(⌐■_■)ᕗ ♪♬
