[IN PROGRESS]
So These are some samples of a small Hobbit Hole I'm testing out in a creative world. Pictures of the final product coming soon!
Exterior:
Small Doorway [1] trimmed with oak logs and stone slabs; finished off with 2 birch doors and a wooden pressure plate
Interior:
Part of Circular Hall [2] made to feel Shorter (need to round out the corners)
Background:
Great news! (to anyone who actually reads and watches my activity) I have been accepted to the TekSet Server, and that is mostly why I wasn't updating yesterday(Dec. 17, 2014). Anyways, I may have accidentally settled under a bridge... I guess it makes me a goblin of some sorts. So I didn't scout out the land and I am kinda paying for it by building a Hobbit Hole as my spawn base. I tried to use easily accessible materials because this is an Smp server so I do have to go out and gather my ingredients.
The location for this build is an a natural seed(no presets) and I just flew around until I saw the most beautiful Hill I could find. What I want is a small entrance followed by a circular hall that slopes gently downwards and wraps around a main column where I will have convenient items in place (crafting tables, furnaces, etc.). If I tried to shove a life-sized Hobbit Hole into a hill, with all the twisty tunnels, I'd have alot of work to do to carve out the inner workings. I plan on a storage room or 2, a bedroom, a decorative studies and restroom, and a kitchen.
The hallways and rooms are 1/2 a block shorter to make the place feel like a house for smaller beings! This is my favorite part! Glowstone hangs from the ceiling to make the build feel even shorter.
You can use the default texture pack to view this piece, but it won't look like a home from the Shire.
I did use the 32x32 Conquest (Monsterfish_) and 3D Models Add-on Packs (JWire).

"That's how we introduce new characters!"
I've turned the Hobbit Hole plans into a reality on the server! Real pictures and nice Windows poking out of the hill. I still have no idea what to do with the entrance. The problem I have is lack of a better door. Someone mentioned terraforming but I've got a river flowing in front that I would rather leave untarnished.
NEW:
Thanks to Uncle for the best Christmas present of them all!
