This wasn't something I actively started out building. I had intended to take a break from my Agaricus project and just build something for fun - like a village....
This started out as a town square but then I got to thinking about Endonia that mysteriously disappeared. Who were they? What were they like? What did they believe in? Where do they live? What did they build with? Etc. Next thing I knew my town square had all these arches. The buildings around the square suddenly looked out of place, so I asked my oldest son for his opinion. He said it looked like the frame of a temple. I let it sit for a couple of days before deciding he was right and removed the village portion from the square.
This project is making wonder if I can try experimenting with custom terrain to answer where the Endonias lived.
It's now the temple of Endonia. I hope you all enjoy it. Even though I might put it in my Agaricus project map, feel free to use it as a stand alone piece if you'd like. Naturally I ask that you give me credit if you use it in a multiplayer map.

I'm just going to throw out some suggestions for you which I think could improve your temple. Anyways you do as you like this is just my feedback.
1) Remove the wooden door and add a larger piston door. I've added a 3x3 piston door as an example here: www.mediafire.com/download/3kpee9jp03m4lt1/Tempe_Of_Endonia_with_piston_door.schematic
2) Add more pattern to the floor, you can mix with materials and fill in the single material floor areas with some pattern.
3) Fill in the gaps between the windows on the inside of the temple with blocks.
It's still nice as it is though. :P
1) I'm not as savvy with redstone as most, so I decided that yes the door needed renovation but instead of a piston door, I chose to go with an open walkway like the jungle temples and desert pyrimids have in the game. In doing so I was able to maintain the feel the walls recreated.
2) Rather than filling the space between the windows in, I decided to repeat the columns I had on the
outside to round out the sense of symetry and patterning the structure has.
3) Lastly, your suggestion with the floor gave me inspiration to use two more types of blocks I had wanted to use but couldn't figure out how to fit them in until now.
Thank you for your input. I think the interior's appearance has been greatly improved by the few tweaks I made based upon your advice. <3
