This is my recreation of the Temple of Peace, the second largest structure in the Imperial Fora complex. It is believed to have been commissioned by the Emperor Vespasian in 71 AD and completed around 75 AD. The Temple of Peace is not considered a forum as the primary temple was most likely not dedicated to any particular divinized individual. In addition, the structure did not serve any government purpose. Rather, it was a museum for Vespasian and Titus to show off the spoils of the Jewish Wars in order to solidify the legitimacy of the Flavian dynasty.

Overall, this is the fourth installment of the Imperial Fora series. The Forum of Caesar, Forum of Augustus, and the Forum of Trajan maps have already been published, and you can check them out and download them from my page. Next up is the Forum Transitorium, the smallest (and least well known) of the five fora in the complex. I hope to have a fairly quick turnaround with this next small project, and then I will be focusing all of my efforts on combining all of the fora together into the Imperial Fora.
