Background
The Bridge Arena
is a fictional stadium located in Hartfeld. The metropolitan area has a population of more than a million inhabitants and has a warm humid subtropical climate, with precipitation evenly distributed. Hartfeld United Football Club, a top-flight team, plays their matches in the venue with a capacity of 57,582. They are also nicknamed 'The Hawks'.

History
Hartfeld United Football Club was formed in 1935, first playing in Elbert Oval. It was constructed in 1914 and had a capacity of 25,144. The stadium had various changes from the 1920s to the 1950s, the capacity fluctuating between 27,000 and 38,000. The Hartfeld Athletics Centre was constructed in the same location from 1963 to 1965, with seating for 30,000. In 1980, major upgrades took place, but without an increase in capacity. At the turn of the millennium, the club's owners considered plans for a large stadium. The land chosen for the new stadium was formerly a smaller stadium constructed in 1965 owned by neighbouring Hartfeld City Football Club, surrounded by an industrial area. This resulted in Hartfeld City's move to the new Belmont Park in 2006. The Bridge Arena broke ground in 2008, and in 2012, the stadium finished its completion, mirroring Hartfeld United's recent success after its promotion in 2008.

Location and interior
It is a short eastbound walk from the downtown and is accessible via the M1 freeway which runs on the venue's western edge. The Bridge Arena is a circular-shaped stadium with eight gates for spectators to enter and exit the premises, has three floors for the 38 suites, dozens of kiosks for restaurants and retail spaces, hundreds of toilets, and twenty elevators that can access all three floors. However, the East Stand has four floors, of which the second and third floors boast a bar, 12 of the stadium's 38 suites, and conference rooms for stadium members. The stadium's three tiers produce a loud and vibrant atmosphere during matches while giving spectators a clear and unobstructed view of the football pitch.

Exterior
The glass retractable doors in the West Stand allow fresh air breezes to regulate the temperature of the venue. Moreover, this allows the stadium to expand its capacity to 60,000 when necessary. The stadium has four 15-metre HD screens on all four corners, as well as one large 26-metre HD screen on the East stand, allowing spectators to view any live action. The divided nature of the third tier seating allows spectators to access between locations via four rectangular spiral staircases between all floors.

Access
The venue has ten pedestrian paths that radiate from the stadium's eight gates. Outside the stadium, there are public toilets and eight kiosks as well as green spaces with forests containing oak, spruce, jungle, and palm trees to shade visitors from the sun. There are 296 surface parking spaces, as well as 240 spaces in the underground car park.

Building
Construction of the stadium was completed in the span of four months, taking around 80 hours of building. It began in late July 2020, but was seldom worked on as I progressed with other builds and commitments outside Minecraft. As a result, progress was stopped in late September, only finishing the pitch and stands. From December 2020 to February 2021 the build was my primary focus in Minecraft. The creation is built on a 1.25:1 scale, where 1 block represents 0.8 m, and 1 m is represented as 1.25 blocks.

Status
Currently, the stadium is not completely finished, but I feel that I should post this creation as I have completed the major aspects of the venue, such as the overall exterior and seating. Consequently, I am satisfied with my progress so far and I hope to update this build in the coming months. In a future update, I hope to increasing the stadium's seating, decorate the stadium's interior including the players' spaces and, tram lines to road medians, and add bike lanes. Outside the venue, I will add roads surrounding the venue, and may construct buildings such as apartments, townhouses and office buildings. I am aware that it has been almost a year since the first update, but my interest in Minecraft has waned for a while, moving on to other games. In a change of heart, I also aim to either remove or downgrade the freeway and narrow the boulevards to two lanes in each direction, as a somewhat significant retcon.

This is my first creation that I have posted to Planet Minecraft.
