Unfortunately, doors don't = villagers anymore but when they did... this conservative hotel design was an effecient way to populate.
It won't help you with adding any new villagers to your village but they still seem to like the place which somehow seems to spawn in VillagerGolems that are immobile due to the height of the ceiling.
