This was my first finished project in Minecraft from about a year or so back.
It took about 3 days to make, well 4 if you count the vague level of planning I did, eating up quite a bit of my spare time.
The wooden frame is actually brown wool, which I used because while I wanted the frame to look like wood, when I tested using normal wood, it didn't look right. So I did a quick test with brown wool and it gave me something closer to what I was looking for. All the glass was placed rather specifically using a circle building guide a friend gave me, (although I don't know where he got it, so please don't ask ^^; ), and the 'sand' inside is actually water, placed in such a way to emulate the way the sand moves inside a hourglass, as you can see in the close-ups below.
Also, the images were taken before I know about how to remove the HUD and how to take screenshots, so sorry about that. ^^;
Any thoughts or feedback would be appreciated!
Enjoy!
