Another big project Io m working on in Minecraft. As usual, Io m probably biting off more than I can chew and this will probably get half finished and then Io ll switch projectso ¦. Oh well, ito s still fun to do.

This is The Lost Vikings: Minecraft edition. Lost Vikings was originally developed for the SNES by Silicone & Synapse (formally known as Blizzard Entertainment). Ito s a puzzle/platformer game that has 3 different characters with their own special abilities. Erik the swift can jump over obstacles and run like the wind. Baleog the Fierce is the fighter of the three and will squash enemies with his sword and bow. And Olaf the Stout is the unmovable Viking and can absorb any attack thrown at him. The three Vikings have lived peacefully for years, collecting gold to satisfy their obsession with the precious medal. They had quite a formidable collection of gold as well, and their favorite thing to craft was gold cubes. One stormy night, they were visited by strange aliens whom also had a plan for using the Vikingso gold. The aliens wasted no time and began to steal all the Vikingo s gold! The Vikingo s fought back hard, but the technologically advanced aliens were too much for them. The Vikings were then dropped into a jungle away from their village and their safe full of gold.

When the Vikingo s come back from the Jungle, their village has been completely robbed of all gold! However, the alieno s spaceship must have sprung a leak, because there was a gold trail of blocks and plates on the ground that lead over the hill and back into the jungle. With that, the Vikings knew what they had to do: track down the aliens and get back their gold! And thus, the adventure begins for the three Vikings.

Requirements to play the game:

1.) The map depends on command blocks to be turned on before you can actually play. If you dono t know how to do that, ito s pretty easy:

· Open o server PROPERTIES Fileo in notepad.

· Go down the list of entries and look for the o enable-command-block=*****o entry.

· If ito s there, change it so it reads o enable-command-block=trueo .

· If ito s not there, make a new line at the end and type in o enable-command-block=trueo .

· Save

· Done

2.) The game also requires that at least 3 people play. Otherwise the puzzles become pretty much unsolvable.

3.) Play on any difficulty except peaceful. (Hard is recommended).

Thato s it.

Have fun!

Additional Notes

So far, the only playable parts are the parts described in the story above. The main levels and realms aren't made yet : ). I plan on working on them in the near future to get the game going.

For the levels, I was going to use like a Realm-Level structure. Kind of like you have a large map (the realm) with different levels to choose from (the levels). Its kind of how games were made back on the SNES, like Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, ect. Anyway, that's what I'm going to put in next.

If you guys want to contribute any input (good or bad) on the concepts of the game, please feel free. I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!
