Descension is a game where players must climb down a tower full of platforming, puzzles, arenas, mazes, and bosses. The players start at the top and work their way down to the bottom. The tower has a level select system so if you die, you can quickly return to the level you were on.
There's tons of secrets to be found in the tower. Each contain armor, potions, weapons, and more.
The tower is designed to be played inside spawn with 'spawn protection' turned on. With the newest patch for Minecraft (1.4.6) spawn protection is turned off... so you have to turn on spawn protection manually.
Any number of players can play. The levels also reset when they become finished. So players can be working independently on 2 different levels at the same time.
Have fun!
I've been working on it (on and off) since April, and since then some patches came out that makes it easier for me.
Basically, I wanted players to not be worried about breaking/placing blocks. The only way to do that (that i knew of) was to play in spawn (with spawn protection turned on). Since the spawn extends from level 0 to 256, I made the entire game in a 'tower' shape.
NOW, with the most recent patch, the players can just change the spawn protection radius to 1000 (instead of the default 16). So my tower.... doesn't really need to be a tower anymore and I'm basically constraining myself. The new adventure game mode could also have partially solved this problem. Also with the code blocks introduced, my level select system could have been much, MUCH easier to do.
Anyway, with the newest patches now, I might be abandoning this project to work on other things. Let me know what you guys think though. I'm interested to see if I made a game that is fun for other people :)
Thanks!

Additional Notes
For right now, I'm taking a break from this project.I've been working on it (on and off) since April, and since then some patches came out that makes it easier for me.
