🏰 Medieval Collection

This build is part of my ongoing Medieval Collection, a series of standalone medieval structures designed to seamlessly complement one another while maintaining a consistent architectural style. Every release is built entirely with vanilla Minecraft blocks and is intended for survival worlds, kingdoms, villages, and large-scale medieval projects.

You can view the rest of the growing collection directly on my profile page or via the submissions sidebar!

Welcome to The Miller's Keep. This structure serves a vital role in the kingdom, but it also carries a few subtle secrets waiting to be found...

About the Project

This build combines authentic medieval proportions, layered architectural detailing, and a fully decorated interior to create a structure that feels believable from every angle. Whether you're building a farming district, medieval village, kingdom, or large-scale survival world, it serves as both a striking landmark and a natural centerpiece for surrounding farmland.

Unlike many decorative windmills, the interior has been fully detailed across multiple levels, utilizing a functional layout that rewards exploration while maintaining a clean vanilla Minecraft aesthetic.

Project Secrets?

Just a heads up for meticulous explorers: there might be a subtle inconsistency or two hidden within the framework. Consider this the first of my fully explorable, secret-bearing builds.

Did you find the secret? Drop a comment saying 'Found it!' but keep the location a secret so you don't spoil it for others!"

• Traditional four-sail assembly featuring detailed timber framework, a reinforced central hub, and a continuous axle passing through the structure.

• Exterior staircase, elevated entrance, timber beams, stone foundation, and carefully designed architectural details that create a believable and well-balanced silhouette from every viewing angle.

• Includes decorative ground detailing around the base of the structure, allowing it to blend naturally into villages, farmland, and custom medieval environments.

⚙️ Environment & Visual Optimization

Recommended Resource Packs:

To get the absolute most out of this build and match the intended presentation, I highly suggest using the Better-Leaves-9.5 and Better Stained Glass resource packs. These minor visual tweaks beautifully enhance the foliage and ambient details across the structure.

The schematic itself is built entirely with vanilla Minecraft blocks, ensuring it will paste perfectly into your world even if you choose to use default textures or your own preferred resource packs.

📥 How to Install the Schematic

• Ensure you have WorldEdit installed.
• Place the downloaded .schem file into your config/worldedit/schematics folder.
• In-game, use the command: //schematic load [schematic-name] = whatever PMC renamed it to.

Stand at ground level where you would like the main structure entrance to face, then run: //paste

Rotate the schematic as required before pasting.

⚠️ Staging Notice

The showcase renders were created inside a custom medieval environment for presentation purposes. Large-scale distant wheat fields, villages, and all other distant background structures or scenery shown in the images are not included with the schematic.

What IS included in this schematic:

You will receive the complete standalone windmill structure along with the immediate ground detailing attached to its base. This includes the partial perimeter fences, the small decorative roofs on both sides, the hay bale clusters, and the miniature immediate wheat patch surrounding the foundation so it blends naturally the moment you paste it.

⚠️ DOWNLOAD ALERT:

The download file functions perfectly in-game. Please note that Planet Minecraft's 3D web viewer is currently experiencing a site-wide backend rendering bug affecting newly uploaded schematics, causing it to freeze on the loading screen. This is a platform issue and does not impact your downloaded file.

Note: Cover images are artistically rendered for atmospheric effect. Please see the standard in-game screenshots for exact block textures and geometry.
