The Mountainous Defences

Steve heard the news. Swiftly, he packed as many resources unavailable in the mountainous area as possible and began a grand journey accompanied by labourers, oxen and a small unit of mercenaries. The barbarians were coming after almost a century of peace. A friend of Steve was living in the alpine region between the urban cities of Minecraftia and the fast approaching barbarian army. It was up to him to either stop or slow down the invasion force and protect his beloved friend from becoming a rotting corpse or worse; a slave.

When Steve arrived, he saw the shabby hut in the shadow of a cliff. Almost instantly he knew this was not the best spot, nor the best building to defend from. He ordered the labourers to collect logs and bring them to a ledge above the original house and start a mine to collect valuable metals and stone. The mercenaries were told to scavenge the land for any food and bring it to the same ledge the logs were on. Whilst they did that, Steve and his friend were going to dismantle the house.
