This is my creation of the Parrish House from the film Jumanji. The film's production designer was Jim Bissell who designed the house. Although it currently has no furniture, it is entirely complete (that's why I say 95% done).
The house in Jumanji was only a facade, the interiors were built separately in a sound stage. The exterior design was inspired by York Hall in Bath, Maine by the architectural firm Peabody & Stearns.
The exterior facade was built on an empty lot at 1438 Balfour Avenue in British Columbia. The film sets were torn down after filming. Since then, a real house has been built on the site in 2008 and and was sold for $11.8 million dollars. I still like the old Parrish house best!
Let me know what you think!
