Hello people of the internet!
I present the Red Dragon ! As you may have guessed, It be a junk-style ship, and a large one at that! She mainly functions as a cargo ship and is un-armed (no room to fit guns! Darn it!), but the large area of canvas will allow her to speed away from any marauding scurvy dogs! There are two cranes on either side of the ship that (theoretically) swivel while lifting and lowering cargo. The ship has a sturdy look, but is very open. The rear cabin where the ball room is located is very open (windowless in fact!) and allows a nice sea breeze to freshen the air and makes it all that much more sinkable in a squall! Hooray! The cabins are designed to be very cozy (even for a rugged cargo ship) and inviting. Even the crew has it alright since they get their own wreck room!
With all joking aside, I wanted the Red Dragon to have an unrestricting and comfortable feel, despite all of the heavy log and dark oak usage for the decks and walls. I tried to keep the arcitecture within the bounds of the Far East designs. I was not really looking to one nation for specifics, more of a hodgepodge of what my lay mind thinks is incorporated into South East Asian arcitecture. I did use some creative lisence and used it more as a loose guideline. Also I am pretty sure the rigging is all wrong (hehe, whatever works). I think (well.... I at least hope!) I managed to keep faithful to the design criteria. Let me know what you all think!
Note: I included some images of what it looks like in default for those who are curious. Things will look out of place (like paintings)
If you download and use the Red Dragon, all I ask is that you give me the credit for the build. Thank you kindly!
Thanks for stopping by and have a good one!
