I wanted to try making something a lot darker than what I usually build. Kind of like an evil version of my normal fantasy style, but heavier, colder, and way more corrupted.
That’s basically where The Sculkborne Castle came from.
The idea was, what would it look like if the Deep Dark didn’t just stay underground? What if it started forcing its way up into the Overworld and grew into this massive castle? more like something that formed on its own, like the Warden’s power somehow turned into a structure and grew into the overworld
I wanted it to feel Magical, Powerful, Wet, cold, Slimy and mysterious. Like the whole place is alive, but in a really wrong way.
I remember reading somewhere that when Mojang was making the Deep Dark, they were thinking of it almost like something from under the ocean, but with all the water gone. I thought that was such a cool idea, so I tried to bring some of that into this build. I wanted it to feel slimy, damp, dark, and almost amphibious, while still feeling like a huge dark fantasy castle.
Then I saw the Sculk Jam and figured this was the perfect time to finally test the idea out.
I really Hope you guys like it. I’m still trying to get better with every build, so if you love it, hate it, or have any feedback at all, please let me know. I’m always open to hearing what people think. ( ADDED SCHEMATIC FOR THOSE WHO SUFFERED BROKEN WORLD ERRORS)

Have something to say?
I had a server with a bunch of mods on it and they corrupted the stronghold generation so we were never able to beat the dragon. I decided to come on to Planet Minecraft to look for a build I could use as my "stronghold" and I used this build, adding a end portal and a bunch of random spawners. I didn't tell my friends about the build and their reaction was really wholesome. I streamed the whole thing too so I got a clip of it because I thought the creator might appreciate their reaction.
It's a super stunning map and I was really stoked to use it on my server and surprise my friends so again, thank you!
This is their reaction:
