My first ever Asian building. I have never attempted this style before whatsoever.

Built to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Protests.

The Tiananmen (天安門), in the centre of Beijing, China, is the main gateway to the Imperial City of Beijing (which itself is home to the Forbidden City, the residence of the Emperor of China). It was built in 1465 and was completely rebuilt in the 1960's, keeping the exterior appearance the same.

Due to the gate's position and its function, it has great political significance, and is often viewed as the symbol of China. It features on the National Emblem of the People's Republic of China.
