UPDATE: This map has unfortunately been abandoned, but this does not mean the end of me making games and maps, as I plan on transitioning to Hytale! The biggest problem I faced making this map was running into issues and limitations when it came to storybuilding and making a diverse set of combat situations and setpieces, and Hytale looks like it has a huge amount of assets and tools to work with so I'm excited to use them in the future! However, I have decided to release the unfinished map to the public, along with some commentary as to what I was going for with the map, and what inspired me. Feel free to check it out, and I hope you enjoy exploring through it as much as I have making it. I'd like to thank OnlyTheBest, Quinten, Voldiz, and ImYourEnder from Parallax Productions for helping with coding and mechanics, you've all been awesome to work with! As my talents in MC don't go much further than level design and building, you've all been extremely helpful!
The Tower stands on the island, with defenses, enemies, and villagers rounded up like cattle, enslaved to the Nether army. It's drained the resources from the land, and is preparing to open up a portal to unleash its forces upon the earth, and it's up to you to stop it. You must make your way through caverns and chambers to get to the top of the tower, fighting your way through enemies, solving puzzles, and platforming through dangerous obstacles. Will you make it through alive?

I'd say good luck on your projects in Hytale, and that I hope I'd see your projects featured on there but you know what- as long as you put this kinda love and effort into that, I don't think you'll have any problems soaring to the top of creators on Hytale. I genuinely hope to see a Hytale reboot of this, maybe this time with guns and proper Half Life vents to crawl through.
Absolutely stellar work man.
P.S.- Nice Pink Floyd easter egg.
Atmosphere is still going to be a key factor, which I really tried to push as far as I could with Minecraft. Obviously Half-Life was a gigantic influence, and funny enough Pink Floyd's album Animals had a lot of the same vibe I was going for, if that makes any sense. While I'm not jumping to any conclusions, Hytale seems to offer a huge amount when it comes to animation, coding, lighting, scripting, cinematics, which I'm all very excited for. The next project I've been planning is one I've been passionate about working on for years now, but I knew that Minecraft wouldn't have the capabilities to produce it, though right now I'm using Minecraft to create scales of environments and mechanics that I'm hoping to impliment.
I'm excited to be working on this next project, which I hope will be even better than what might have been this map. It's sad to have so much work be cut short after over 2 years, but again there's a lot I'm planning to carry over, so not all of it has been wasted. Still, I'm glad that people have been able to see what might have been, and I'm glad you enjoyed looking through it! I'll keep this account active and up to date when it comes to my next projects as I migrate over to Hytale, so I'll keep updates as to where the next project is headed!
And maybe give it a download because so much hard work shouldn't be wasted I think people can check on it to see how much you put into this project of yours.
