Legacy Console Edition's TU14 tutorial world for PlayStation®3 Edition, educating players on features equivalent to those of Java Edition 1.3.1!

TU14 Console Tutorial World | PlayStation®3 Edition [EU DISC] Minecraft Map Overview

Legacy Console Edition teaches its players about Minecraft's principles and mechanics through interactive worlds. Each feature is showcased in a unique location, with additional structures spread throughout the entire map, offering vast exploration!

This download includes the tutorial world of Xbox 360 Edition TU14 or alternatively PlayStation 3 Edition 1.00, both of which are comparable to Java Edition 1.3.1. Consequently, the world includes its latest features. The tutorial areas themselves are sited in and around the sandstone castle at spawn:
  • Basic mechanics of placing, destroying, hunger, and crafting are taught in the initial sinkhole.
  • TU14 Console Tutorial World | PlayStation®3 Edition [EU DISC] Minecraft Map Anvil mechanics are showcased in the outer bailey's forge.
  • TU14 Console Tutorial World | PlayStation®3 Edition [EU DISC] Minecraft Map Brewing, trading, and enchanting are showcased in the outer bailey's workshops.
  • Farming, breeding, and fishing are showcased on the castle's southern curtilage.
  • Redstone and minecarts are showcased underground.
  • Golems are showcased on the outer bailey.
  • Ender chests are showcased inside the gatehouse leading to the upper sandstone wards.
All structures and discs across the tutorial world:
  • Sandstone castle [0, 95, -100]: The main tutorial zone. Holds music disc '13'.
  • Boat [-165, 66, -270]: A small, wooden boat with a creeper flag. Holds music disc 'mall'.
  • Stone circle [-8, 65, -364]: A structure reminiscent of Stonehenge. Holds music disc 'ward'.
  • Jungle temple [0, 65, 140]: An vestigial underground temple in the jungle.
  • Pyramid [-282, 85, 262]: A labyrinthic desert pyramid.
  • Lava parkour [0, 95, -100]: A small jump n' run over a lava lake.
  • Tower [258, 92, -185]: A tower containing redstone contraptions.
  • Spider cave [350, 75, -65]: A cave overtaken by spiders. Holds music disc '11'.
  • Underground chamber [-250, 65, -35]: An hypogeum in a pond. Holds music disc 'cat'.
  • Ruined house [205, 72, 82]: A worn down, overgrown shed. Holds music disc 'wait'.
  • Mountain house [276, 86, 101]: A house in a mountain range. Holds music disc 'stal'.
  • Stone temple [0, 64, 324]: A temple built into the jungle hillside. Holds music disc 'strad'.
  • Smithy [377, 64, -332]: A blacksmith's shop. Holds music disc 'blocks'.
  • Desert pyramid [-303, 70, 106]: A regular desert pyramid. Holds music disc 'mellohi'.
  • Desert village church [-408, 75, 96]: A regular desert village church. Holds music disc 'chirp'.
  • Jungle pyramid [-408, 75, 96]: A regular jungle pyramid. Holds music disc 'far'.
Despite the lack of tutorial popups, the message boxes for collecting the aforementioned twelve music discs are still entirely functional!

Known issues
The latest world generation of Legacy Console Edition mildly messes with the map. This has been observed through the generation of an ocean monument's bounding box after the world had been upgraded to PlayStation®3 Edition 1.84. Nevertheless, the consequences of this have little to no actual effect on the gameplay.

Tutorial popups do not display.

During testing of this world on RPCS3, it oftentimes crashed upon saving. This happened once on my PlayStation®3 as well. I unfortunately do not know what the catalyst for this issue is.

Installation

Step 1: Determine world folder
To determine the world folder, look for the one titled:BLES01976--<sequence of numbers>The regional serial number BLES01976 needs to match that of the Minecraft copy you own. Otherwise, the game will not recognize the save data.

Additionally, you may check whether the folder contains the world files (e.g. GAMEDATA, ICON0.PNG) to ensure that it really is the world folder.

Step 2: Move world folder to USB drive
Fetch your USB drive and plug it into your computer. Confirm that it is formatted to FAT32, as it is required for external drives to properly interact with the console. You can do so by right-clicking the displayed USB drive in an Explorer window and selecting Properties.

Create the undernoted path on your USB drive:
PS3/SAVEDATA/Subsequently, store your downloaded world folder under that path.

Step 3: Transfer save data to PlayStation®3
Attach the USB drive to your PlayStation®3. When it's turned on, navigate to Save Data Utility under Game in the XMB screen. There, your USB drive will be displayed as part of your list of save data. Press X on the displayed USB drive and search for your downloaded map in the subsequent list. Open its options through pressing and select Copy. After the transfer is completed, the world is prepared for playability.

Compatibility

This world has been made for the latest version (1.84) of Minecraft: PlayStation®3 Edition's European disc version (BLES01976).

Whoops! It appears I have falsely advertised the map as TU12 when it was TU14 all along! GASP!
  • Changed the save data icon's text to suit this revelation.
