This is not really a replica of any specific monastery. Instead, it is more of a building following the rules of Tibetan architecture. I found my inspiration in a handful of real bhuddist monasteries in Tibet, Nepal and Bhutan. This project contains, for now, a monastery building, two chortens with prayer flags and a thangka wall (the thangka on the wall is a pixel art of a real thangka of Guru Rinpoche; I used a pixelart generator for this one, which is why it is not really "realistic"). The project is not at all finished but I wanted to share it to have some feedback. :)

Update 24.06.2020 = I added a lot of new elements : a wall surrounding the monastery, two golden small temples of the roof, I built the lateral walls of the main building and added a few smaller buildings (for storage, etc.) as well as an inner yard at the back left of the monastery. I removed the thangka wall, as I plan to build another on a mountain behind the monastery and I built some sort of patio inside the main building, right after the entrance. I don't quite know how to make the soil because I not sure right now if I want it to be in the snowy mountains or the arid plains of Tibet (hence the apparently dry soil changed into snow and stone). I plan on building a big mountain behind the monastery, as if a part of the building was into the rock. I also plan on building some small one-storey buildings (like the ones on the left) outside the wall. I will upload pictures with shaders later.
