Train Car Diner - United As One

This train car, built in 1934, was transformed into a diner in the Fulton area in 1997. The car, coming from the C&O Railroad, served as a diner up until the early 1970's, until it's demise. The car was transferred between railroads numerous times, and was put in a siding in 1980, seemingly on purpose, waiting for it's abandonment. It was then when a young couple decided it would be a neat idea to turn it into a diner and putting it back into it's former glory. The couple hired a construction crew, moved it to the site by truck, and began work. The work began in 1993, but in 1995, the couple and hit bankruptcy, and had to disband the construction crew they had gathered for the work. Although much of the work was done, they left the train car to rot AGAIN, and sold it to a realty company. A young guy buy the name of Thomas K. Lintz bought the car, finished up the task of redoing the car, and then in April of 1997, opened the diner for business. What a meticulous process for such a reasonably small project!
