Description: The Upper Plaza was inspired by the architecture of the dormitory building, Pearson Hall, located in Virginia Tech. The buildings located inside the plaza are of similar architectural style which I am unsure about the name.

This was an entirely solo build with help from MCEdit.

The purpose of this build was to submit it to The World of Colour Update (1.12) trailer “contest.”

Thought Process: I had the initial mindset of replicating Pearson Hall and its younger sister which is currently being built at this time and dubbed New Brodie. However, replicating real life structures in a virtual world with a significantly lower “resolution” is incredibly difficult and many times I had to provide my own interpretation of the structure and what looked best. This project was stared a month before the snapshot had been released.

The smaller buildings inside were originally supposed to be part of a town with each building specifically designed for a single purpose. This project was started a few weeks after the snapshot had been released.

Notes: Due to my busy academic schedule I was not able to complete as much of this project as I would have liked. Almost all the interior structures of all the buildings have yet to be finished or even started and almost none have been fully furnished. I plan on continuing this project later.

Hopefully this project will help inspire other players who want to build.
