Hello! This is my first ever minecraft project really, so Io d really like to know what you think.




What originally started out as a recreation of the Daedalus from Stargate: Atlantis has branched out and has utilised themes from a number of sci-fi shows. (Hence the name change to Helios).




The ship itself is quite large (94 blocks wide at the largest point, 191 blocks long, and 39 blocks high), and has been built, but the fitting of it is proving to be quite difficult, as I like my creations to be very detailed. It has taken a fair few months to build, but still requires much redstone wiring (ESPECIALLY SINCE REDSTONE NO LONGER GOES ON GLOWSTONE!!!) and finishing touches.




The ship is composed of 8 decks, two massive shuttle bays (complete with two shuttle), 32 lifepods, dozens of labs, hundreds of cabins, airlocks, docking bays, engines that you can walk in, Jeffries tubes (maintenance tunnels that house the redstone) and much more.

Additional Notes

The texture pack is a must! The pack is made by yours truly, and is composed of some custom blocks, some doku (with permission) and many other texture packs (again, all with permission from creators).

I was pretty impressed how much storage you have inside.

I build a spaceship with same size, but everything looks just smaller inside XD

I don't know, but that is a very good point! I actually named it because I noticed that the ships were named after Greek gods or heroes, so I found a list of Greek gods, and I picked Helios, because that is the god of the stars...

The movie will take some time to make. I have to make the set, Script, hire people, and film, then edit. May take a year. But since I have been delaying the movie since I have a server to run. I am working my best to make it ASAP but it does have to be a good one or it would be for nothing. Also The Ship is perfect the way it is, If you want to update it for the movie you may but there is a lot to do.
