Yes, I am very aware that Castles are overdone.
However, with this castle, I tried to make the type more associated with medieval Europe than those of fantasy where everything is symmetrical. This meant that I built with the landscape, not at all changing it, and also built wherever and whatever i felt. The castle is actually quite complex to navigate because the floors around the castle vary in height.
The castle has an area to build within the outer walls, and a quarry for mining materials too. Also included was multiple stalls, guards quarters, my living area (in the main keep of course), a jail cell, a farm, reed farm AND automated mushroom farm!
Unfortunately this project will only last until 1.8 because our server is restarting with a new (and improved!) 1.8 map.
However, if you want to check it out at the moment go to smp.gominecraft.com and head into the town centre and out the other side! The server is in a bit of a state at the moment thanks to a bit of fun with the nether, but Utara is untouched.
