Ever played on a prison server?  Ever been sick of the many players who are there to ruin your day?  Ever wanted a more.... vanilla approach?  Well here we are!  For versions 14w25a and higher this map is filled with pvp arenas, to auto-resetting public mines.  Gotten bored of being a hobo roaming the prison?  Buy a plot!  Want more adventure during your stay in prison?  Go to the parkour course!  Includes ranks and a currency with shops and sell shops.  Whether playing solo, or playing with up to 6 other players, you will find yourself enjoying it just as much as a public server but in VANILLA MINECRAFT!  

Hopefuly you enjoy!  This map took months to make and I'm very happy to release it to the internet.  If you have any complaints/suggestions, post them in the comments below.

Ah, yeah I was actually working on a fix for this a while ago. Change to gamemode 3, and fly outside of the start room. You should see a fast repeater clock right next to a hopper clock. The hopper clock should be activated, so changed to gamemode 1, and take out the item blinking in the hoppers, and then put it back in. Then run the following command: /scoreboard players set @a players 0 and /scoreboard players set @a rank 0. If you fixed the hopper clock, you should be good to go!

Although, I do ask 2 things: How did you make the locked chest system, and 2: Can I use the for my prison?

Why havnt you continued it anyways? It seems like a too good idea to discontinue
edit: THis also inspired me to start making y own prison map! Mine is 5% done, I will haz a download at 90-100% xD I am not copying any of you're stuff from it, I have my own ways of doing stufff, so no copyright issues xD Although, I will use some of the stuff you have in yours if you give me perms

Woah okay calm down I get your message! XD  I don't check planet minecraft everyday so plz no spam.  I'm very glad that you like my prison map!  The fact that someone wants me to update it and add more is very encouraging! :)  The locked chest system pretty much works with tile entity data.  All you do is stand on the chest and type /blockdata ~ ~ ~ {Lock:"password"}.  Hopefully that helps. :\  Let me know when you finish your map, I'd like to check it out! :)

Considering you actually linked this post in your wip map, by all means use any ideas to improve your map!  There's nothing wrong with borrowing ideas from other people, especially if you give credit.  I assume since you're making your own that you don't need me to update mine, but let me know if you do want me to and I'll see what I can do.  Thanks again for the feedback, it's very encouraging. :)

Ok, thanks! And sure, I could use some of the ideas, since I'm not the best with redstone! You also tought me that you can clear one item at a time xD Most forum posts said you cant!
Oh and I do also want you to updat you'res, I want to see what you have in mind :)
I also have a question: Do you know how to tp someone only if they are in a certain area? I Dont like using @p commands when rooms are near each other :D
You know why spam might make you happy lol? It levels you up xD
1 more thing: How do you make a block invincible, I dont think constant mining fatigue is gonna be enough lol.

I don't really have any more ideas other than mob arenas and such :P  I'll see what I can do.  Maybe with the final 1.8 features I can make something interesting.  I'm sure a lot of the forum posts you saw were outdated because you used to not be able to clear a max number of items.  If you ever want to see what a command has to offer, just type "/help <command>".  It helps me a lot when I'm making maps.  This video is outdated but this where I learned like everything about command blocks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTrViboaGgE

You're going to need to know how to set up scoreboards and stuff which you can just search on YouTube to find.  I highly recommend that video; it's really helpful.  You cannot make blocks invincible, but you can set a player to adventure mode where they cannot break or place blocks.  "/gamemode 2 <player name or target selector>".  If you want them to be able to place blocks, then I'm sorry to say but mining fatigue is really the only way to go.  If you give them a strong mining fatigue as well as a tiny haste boost, it will remove the slow arm effect but the players still won't be able to break blocks.

Reason I want to see if I can test for if the player has more than 10 items is cuz I want it so that u need the items to sell so it isnt free money
But thanks, and I know how to use scoreboards, I just had to to some experimenting on how to get values out of them with cmd blocks, and I realised there are like a thousand differ types of scoreboards I can use now! :D

downside: No other mine than public, can you please update, I knows been nine months, but everything still works, so the updates didnt ruin it, but can you please update map and add more mines, because I want to use this on my Realm for me and my friend, so pls update if you still can! Oh, and more ranks before freedom, pleeease?
