Vibrant Microcosm [RTX] Minecraft Map

A collection of life at its most vibrant, contained withing a small area. A fallen tree, while approaching its death, signifies life for hundreds more. Thus the cycle continues in this self-contained microcosm.


This build started out as an experiment, and most of it was done inside of a week. But, well, turns out the standard PBR resourcepack provided had rather... different block textures, which required a revamp.

Note that I do not have an RTX card myself, so I had to build basically blindly.

Wow! I love how this map looks. Would you perhaps be willing to allow me and my friends to add some of the stunning scenery as structures to a mod? I would be happy to give credit. This kind of stuff deserves to be seen more!

Hi, thank you for your interest. I removed the download because back then, NFT-based theft was rampant. Now that Mojang has banned NFT-stuff related to minecraft, I suppose I can re-add downloads, but I think I'd prefer to send you a download directly for now. Give me a bit while I dig it up.



Fair warning, it is not in any way intended to be survival-compatible, while there's ores and basic resources you'll probably find it lacking a lot of basic stuff. I don't know if there's any lava or obsidian available, for instance, nevermind end portals.

I did, I entered it in the RTX-contest. However, since I didn't have an RTX-compatible videocard myself, making a custom PBR texturepack or making ideal use of the provided one was not an option.

I never claimed to have done so, though in theory it would've been possible (if I'd gone 12-16h days). I guess lack of listing the tools used (such as WorldEdit (FAWE) and Voxelsniper) implied it.

The 'most of it in a week' bit was basically because this build started as a trialbuild, and I had to make it completely from scratch. The trees credited to others were additions when I modified this for the contest.
