I have had this one for a couple of months now but with a new project i have start i decided its time for it to see some light. The G class garret's were made at the Victorian railways Newport workshops. The "G" class is a narrow gauge loco and only had 2 ever made. G42 is the only surviver of the class with sister locomotive G41 being scrapped before the puffing billy tourist railway could get their hands on it. G42 has been in regular service for 15 years with it going out of service this year for a majour overhaul with a South African NGG16 class Garrett to fill the space left once G42 is under overhaul. the NGG16 is almost complete restoration/re gauging with it expected to enter service in a few months.
