The Voszurka-class gunboat was a small escort and screening vessel designed by Kualin Stardrives and Syvatii Unlimited following the conclusion of the GNGAS program, alongside support craft such as the Canex and Harradox-class gunships. Design work began in the year 48,612 ACT and took about 15 years, significantly less than was typical for a GACIAF capital ship. Kualin Stardrives used both data and structures developed for past spacecraft, with the base hull taking a similar shape to the Vedath-class gunboat.

The Voszurka-class was designed to function as a picket ship and escort to naval groups, with weapons in a number of categories to let the ship engage many potential opponents. As a gunboat, the ship's most important weapon systems were its four Syvatii ISX-352 Cora flak cannons and six ESTH/Quall-125 point defense cannons, which made the ship very effective against strike craft and missile strikes. Against capital ships the Voszurka-class had four CorT4/SU204 light laser cannons, modified Lezekka CorT4 systems, as well as three dorsal Eypha Heth-400B dual laser cannons, which could alter their fire rate and yield to engage both small ships and strike craft. The gunboat also carried 320 GAEDT-I1504-2 multi-role missiles, most often configured as interceptor missiles.
