Castle Highburn belongs to house Baernan. House Baernan is one of the most powerful families in Wustreron. They are mainly known for their use of fire. Their lands consist of dense forests that they use to collect tree sap and make charcoal. House Baernan supplies most of Wustreron with fuel. Also House Baernan are considered by many to be Fire Lords themselves because of their use of fire in battle. Many times they used fires to defeat their enemies. And also because their products(charcoal and tree sap) and the weapons they make from it have allowed other families to win battles against the Vikings. For example House Stirling of Tormentor Keep used fire-weapons/oils to burn down the fleet of Viking ships.
