Zenlan-class corvette

The Zenlan-class corvette was manufactured by Mantadex Starcraft under contract with the Moltechex Union's navy during a period before the Shadow Fleet Crisis. The ship was designed to function primarily as a patrol craft and ship hunter, able to catch up to small spacecraft and disable them in preparation for boarding. Although technically capable of acting in fleet actions alongside large formations in a similar role, TAUFOG had been in a state of minimal conflict for millennia, so not many capital ships were produced before the Shadow Fleet Crisis, and the Zenlan-class would be one of the largest ships in the Moltechex Navy commonly seen in active service by the population. With its four massive F-PSAi Neubui ion thrusters, which connected to two reactor cores for power, the Zenlan-class could easily outpace a strike craft or other small ships seen in Ivesceel at the time, and with a range of defensive and capital-grade weapons could intercept missiles while disabling any critical subsystems on a target at close range. The Zenlan-class was only produced for about 34 years, at which point the Moltechex Navy had enough of the class to meet their operational needs and production ceased.
