Alright, so I retract my comment below about how I like the server, aside from the problems. Went on the day after I posted it and guess what? I get raided after joining a little village with other players. Guess who did the raiding? Apparently they were admins disguised as normal players in full diamond gear and enchanted diamond weaponry. Why did they raid us? Boredom, they said. What happens after? They grief the homes we had built on the server.
I'm sorry, but the number one thing you DON'T do with your own server is attack or mess with your players. You lost yourself a total of 6 players that day. We all left the server. I hope you're happy with yourselves after that bullshit.

I like the server, I do, but there's problems with it. So you guys need to fix your stuff asap and take pvp off in survival!
I spent freaking 6 hours yesterday gathering stuff in survival, had a full inventory, only to come on today and find that my house was world edited over/regen'd. Then some guy wanted to show me his house since I didn't have one anymore and killed me just to take all my stuff.
Seriously, take pvp off in survival. It's utterly annoying for those who are only there for survival and not pvp.
Also, get some kind of chest protection like Lockette. Otherwise you're going to get a lot of people complaining about stealing. Hell, I'm so paranoid on there that I won't put my stuff (except cobble and dirt) in a chest in case someone steals it.
And you may want to flag the area around the portals so that no damage from creepers can be taken. That's what happened with it yesterday. Guys on the server got bored and started to lure creepers over to the survival portal trying to get the diamond blocks and the beacons.

I play on the server as RussianSanity, if you ever happen to read this. PLEASE do what I suggest up there, or else it'll cause more complaints from people on the server than you want. Trust me, I know. I'm an admin of a server owned by one of my friends on Clanslots. We currently have 25 people on it and it runs on Tekkit; did vanilla before then though.
