Overview

Hegemony is a Medieval MMORPG server set in a parallel world of 16th-18th Century Europe. The server is completely custom with features never seen anywhere else and we aim for nothing short of perfection. After 2years of development, we are finally in a playable state with many features still to come.

Hegemony offers 30+ unique skills, over 5,000+ items, 1,500+ recipes, a world that you can fully interact with, quests, a beautiful storyline and custom soundtrack, dungeons and allow players to fight for control over towns, castles and cities.

All these customizations are server-sided which means the server is still vanilla.

Community

We have a strong and tight-knit community that is mature. Currently the server population is equally split between the genders and an average age of around 16.7, the server has a higher average age partly due to the swift removal of immature negative influences in the server and also due to the complexity of the server being a good filter, if you're looking for instant-gratification, this server is probably not for you. In our server progress is slow, but you take real ownership of your achievements.

Core Features

Currently the core features that are implemented are:

Breathtaking Realistic Open World

We believe the key to a true RPG experience is the ability to fully interact with all resources in the world and for those interactions to result in custom items that are used in custom recipes. In our world, every grass, flower, fruit, vegetable, ore, tree etc is interact-able and players can acquire resources from the world in this way.






Custom Items and Crafting System

With the custom items (over 5,000 currently implemented, with plans of 10,000 more types of items and resources) and 1,500+ custom recipes, the player can train various skills.



Custom Skill System

You can experience in skills from gathering resources (such as mining) and crafting recipes (various crafting skills) there are 39 skills currently implemented.

Gathering skills such as mining, woodcutting, fishing etc
Processing skills such as smelting, weaponsmithing etc
Artisan skills such as jewelry making etc



Custom Combat System

We have a custom combat and combat equipment system with various beautifully crafted 3D weapons with different stats and damage types, and also how far they can hit. There is no "I win" armour or weapon, certain weapons are better against others. For example a skilled player using daggers can easily outmaneuver a heavily armored foe (heavier armour has movespeed malus)



Dynamic NPCs and Economy

Shop prices are based on demand and stock level of the shop and fluctuate, for example if a player floods a fish merchant with a fish, the price would crash. Similarly when stock is low, price would spike.



Mobs and Quests

Hegemony has many mobs that drop various items and combat is an alternate money-making method to gathering and processing resources. We have many quests, involving regional lore, grand overarching lore and also simple repeatable quests to spice things up using our powerful dialogue system.

Recruitment

We are recruiting serious individuals with a great work ethic and sharp mind that want to take part in this great project, we are not looking for staff hunters, nor are we impressed by lists and lists of previous server experience, all that points to is inability to stick to one project.

Some of the positions below are paid.

Positions Open

- Skin Artists
Creates server skins, reference pictures given, must be consistent with existing server skin style, colours and shading.

- Builders
Assists in building the world, 99% of applicants are denied, only those with potential are accepted for training.

- Writers
Writing item descriptions, recipe flavour texts, wiki management and content creation, assisting with writing news articles and promotional materials and writing dialogue / designing quests.

- Level Designers
Assists with balancing ingame economy and various experience gain from recipes. No prior experience needed but need to know how to work excel.

- Community Management/Assistant
Trying to free up my time by delegating this aspect of my work as well, requirements for this role is to be 16+ and unless the absolute right person is found for this role, we won't be filling this role.
