History
LegendaryCraft was founded on June 14, 2011.
The founders Felipe Preciado and Juan Pablo Fernandez saw LegendaryCraft grow beyond belief and before long they had the largest Minecraft server in the world. On November 24, 2012 LegendaryCraft had a booth at the Paris Minecon, bringing much popularity to LegendaryCraft. Felipe and Pablo eventually left LegendaryCraft in the hands of the server staff to go on to pursue other interests with a failed server host and later on, a successful Minecraft Network called Minecade.
LegendaryCraft saw a fair share of staff in its time, including a few Staff Managers; Ayantwan, Chance_FTW, Emmr and Spencie37. As LegendaryCraft grew it kept updating, you quickly saw LegendaryCraft go through many updates with new features being added every time, the most controversial update was that of LC7, on March 20, 2013 they skipped the LC6 update and attempted to transform LegendaryCraft into a skyblock server, this was reversed after it received much hate. The market is the most known aspect of the LC world, with it being introduced in the first update to LC2 and kept since through every update. With the introduction of many other similar servers and for other debatable reasons, LegendaryCraft's user base started to slowly decline.
Controversially, the owners Felipe and Pablo did not see LegendaryCraft as a very good niche so they were vastly hated by much of the LegendaryCraft community, they were known to have left the sever staff with little permissions to the server website and have little respect for the LegendaryCraft community. On September 27, 2013 Chance_FTW announced to the LegendaryCraft community that it changed data centres meaning the server will be down for a short time, suddenly LegendaryCraft seized to exist. For over three months the server was down, until January, 2014 when it was reopened under the management of Emmr, although it was finally back up most of the players had left and the server was using a previous version of LegendaryCraft.
During early 2014 a hacker known by the name of 'JakeCloudy' impersonated former Mojang worker 'Nathan Gilbert' and became a Minecade developer. After some time JakeCloudy became the developer for LegendaryCraft, as things looked like they were heading for the best an investigation was started by the LegendaryCraft staff and after an internal investigation it was revealed that JakeCloudy was in fact an impersonator, Nathan Gilbert threatened to take him to court and JakeCloudy was demoted as developer.
On July 4, 2014 LegendaryCraft was updated with an entirely new map, it was known as 'A New Beginning', but unfortunately due to LegendaryCraft's up and down history it never regained the many players it once had, it now had a very poor player base. Finally on December 8, 2014 'Boophis' a Minecade Developer announced that LegendaryCraft would be merging with Mineplex, the LegendaryCraft staff decided they had enough and relocated players to another server. Boophis then went on to run LegendaryCraft and after a short while gave up, he must have realised it was far from the number one server that it once was and it was now just a very low ranked server with a small player base.
Now
LegendaryCraft has been relaunched to the public under LegendaryCraft.net and Play.LegendaryCraft.net.
All players will take off from were they were in game on May 21, 2014, the server is 100% intact from this date which means players still have their ranks, staff still have their ranks and the map is how it was on this date.
It is up to the LegendaryCraft community to run the server, It is finally under great management so LegendaryCraft can now continue to be a great server.
