Windoom SMP
Windoom at its heart is a PvP enabled survival server, with tons of extra and customized features. It has support for home protection via RedProtect, Creeperheal, clans via SimpleClans. There is an economy, and a market will be added soon for players to sell their accumulated items. In other words: its a great escape from the mini-games dominated servers and much closer to good old vanilla minecraft but then with sprinkles!
1.9 PvP
Yes, 1.9 PvP is what we will run. We don't think sticking with archaic and simplistic button-mashing PvP mechanics is the way to go, however we're doing everything to make the extremes of 1.9 PvP more bearable, we use Skript for this and are gradually making more changes to the gameplay based on player feedback, to be able to deliver a great PvP experience eventually even in 1.9.
Quite a Few Plugins
We have quite a few plugins to enhance the gameplay experience from vanilla Minecraft. There's an economy plugin in place, McMMO is there as well, and we have plugins like Residence, RedProtect and Creeperheal along with some custom fixes/plugins to ensure everything works as intended. Clans are also important on Windoom, and for this we have the plugin SimpleClans. Along with this, we also use Skript to add and change whole game mechanics for the better, for instance to improve PvP balancing or to introduce new playing styles.
Events and Community
Events usually start to happen later in the map, when people need that extra bit of excitement. If you join for the first time, you will receive a grace period and people are generally very open and helpful to newcomers. You can ask questions, talk to the awesome players there, ask them what's the best way to start. Staff members are online pretty often, so you can ask them anything you need to know as well, and they might guide you through your first steps on Windoom! Would you not be able to reach staff in-game, you can always post on the website: windoomsmp.enjin.com

Windoom is easy to get into though, just think regular survival + PvP + some added fluff! All in all, enough can be said about Windoom, but the best decision would still be to join us and see all of it for yourself!

Hello all, after closure for about a year Windoom has returned. It officially returned about two weeks before this announcement. The current map is fully in progress, with playercounts averaging around 15-20 already.
Windoom is still a survival PvP server with some added fluff such as a gold based economy, clans, McMMO, house protection, chest locking and raiding support, and other goodies.
It is a little bit more to the basics than it was before, but nice features will slowly be added over time. Recently, our unique clan arena plugin was updated to work with 1.8, which allows clan to battle it out with various classes in various arenas, while players can spectate and/or bet on their favorite clan.
All in all, come pay us a visit if you're up for a bit of good old fashioned survival, the gameplay on Windoom is still the same as four/five years ago!

Blaze rods shoot fireballs on leftclick, it consumes one firecharge per shot though, and has a refire-rate (It's not OP, it's pretty balanced as it is now, new tactics for sure!).
Anvils deal a good amount of damage when hitting people with them, but also cause a constant Slowness effect on the carrier.
Bows cause the target to explode when gunpowder is available in your inventory (they'll receive some more damage and fly upwards, short distance but enough for fall-damage).
Leather armor can trigger the "Dodge" perk; the more pieces of leather you're wearing, the higher this chance of dodging, negating all damage completely (will be changed to half damage soon).
And many many more features.
WARHUB:
Furthermore, Warhub is operational and fully functioning, for the ultimate PvP experience. You can choose from 4 classes, and there's 1 game available atm, with another game coming soon!!
If you win a game, you can earn gold bars, which you can sell* for money that can be used to either protect your home (residence), to purchase goods, or to create an (extremely expensive to prevent clutter) clan. The return of the casino is planned for the distant future.

All classes have outfits according to their purposes and roles, and can be easily switched at the spawnpoint in the warhub zone.
