Welcome to YSGSMP!


Replacing the Starcraft SMP, YSGSMP is a new Java - Bedrock SMP by me, YSG! Unlike Starcraft, YSGSMP is public, but you need to have a paid account to join.

About the Reset


When we were reworking a plugin, something screwed up preventing the server from starting. We attempted to restore a previous backup, which didn't work. While we were trying to find out the root of the problem, the server did another automated backup, which locked in the corrupted world. So, we were forced into Season Two. We're not hoping to start S3 anytime soon, however!

Plugins


YSGSMP makes use of a few new plugins, some of them making a comeback from Starcraft!
  • SkinsRestorer
    SkinsRestorer is very useful if you're on Bedrock. As Java clients won't be able to see your normal skin, and you have a custom skin you want to show off, normally there'd be nothing you can do. However, with SkinsRestorer, any client can show their skin! All you need is an image URL from Imgur, or the Skindex, with your skin, and use /skin set <url> in-game
  • GeyserMC and Floodgate
    Geyser and Floodgate need no introduction. Together, they allow Bedrock clients to connect to a Java server with no issues, other than skins (solved via SkinsRestorer)
  • EssentialsX and Essentials Discord
    The first, EssentialsX, can be fun if you know what you're doing. The second one, however, is the one I want to focus on. Essentials Discord is an addon for EssentialsX, which, when set up properly, allows you to communicate with Discord members. Discord can read Minecraft chat, Minecraft can read Discord chat. Really nice, to be honest
  • SimpleScore
    SimpleScore is an animated Scoreboard plugin, creating a customizable scoreboard on the side of your screen. While being informative, it can also look super cool!
  • LuckPerms
    LuckPerms is a permissions plugin, used to allow players to use commands from other plugins. Normally, some or all of these commands would only be usable by OPs, but with LuckPerms, we changed that so some of the more non-mod commands are available. We also replaced PowerRanks, as LuckPerms has it's own prefix system

Datapacks

  • Vanilla Parity Revoked
    This datapack adds a bunch of features to bring Bedrock mechanics into Java for a better feeling of "togetherness" between the Java and Bedrock players. I linked it because more info and the features are on it's PMC page!
  • Vanilla Tweaks
    Vanilla Tweaks is a series of datapacks meant for SMPs like this one, which can prove pretty helpful.

  • Completely revamped the page to commemorate the launch of Season Two
    - Removed a bunch of plugins that are no longer used
    - Added Vanilla Tweaks to the datapack list
    - New Server Banner
    - Added an explanation for the reset
    - And other changes!
