Guardian of the Garden

Deep in a forest lies a sacred garden where all different kinds of fairy-folk live. They prance about among the flowers and bask in the sunlight that seeps through the canopy. Inside, its citizens drown in magical bliss, and should you seek to enter this place, you'll have to pass through the guardians that wait along its borders. Blended into the flora, it takes a keen eye for one to immediately see them. When they stand, they can be as tall as the trees around them, and when they sense your footsteps heading towards the garden, they'll make their presence known with a huge thump of their bark, tentacle-like appendage on the ground—blocking you from going any further. If they sense no malice in your heart, they'll let you through. However, if you do and wish to proceed further, take my advice and run, because if you don't, a painful demise awaits those who hold even a shred of hostility. If you take a look around, you'll see the crushed remains of those who failed to pass the guardians of the garden.

I'll be honest; this is a mess of a skin. I had no idea where it was going, and unironically, I didn't even have an idea to begin with, but I figured I would just start and see where that would take me. Another way of looking at this skin is that I ran out of ideas because I see it as a mish-mash of elements of my previous skins; in short, nothing new or anything I haven't done in the past. There's little to no cohesion among the parts, but I don't hate it. I don't think it's the worst skin out there. For the colors, I would say that I like them. There's definitely room for improvement and perhaps a tiny dash of contrast would enhance it. Anyways, I appreciate any criticism anyone could offer, whether it be in regards to the palette, the design, or just the skin in general.
