Adam was born in some of the poorest regions of the world—the wasteland remains of a war-torn battlefield. The results of humanity’s never-ceasing need to control one-another, a never-ceasing need to satiate their pride.

As a result of the raids, when his father returned to their destroyed town after serving in the war, their entire house was gone. His mother was shortly killed after she hid Adam away with no time to hide herself from the invaders. All Adam could do was sit in that closet and watch through the crack as his loving mother was destroyed before his very eyes.

Adam’s father blamed his wife’s death on Adam himself. The man beat Adam senselessly, looking at his son with only disgust. If he was to make the slightest mistake while doing chores in their new shack of a home, he would be forced to sleep outside in the dead of night while wolves were on the prowl.

“Children are meant to be seen, not heard.”

This was a mantra ingrained into Adam’s head amidst the beatings. A partial driving force of what caused Adam to just go mute with all the trauma and hits to the head. Low on money, eventually Adam’s father just sold him, causing Adam to enter a slavery ring…

He was found struggling, starving. The long-forgotten child sold into slavery. He was found by an affluential family, a very powerful family. They did not intend on buying a slave or a family-member, no, they bought a weapon. Immediately they went to work, transforming Adam from a very young age into the best weapon a crime family could ever want. He underwent every training imaginable, his initial sense of self stripped away. They would hurt and torture him in various ways until he could get used to it. The best asssassins in the world were brought in to teach and train him even further.

Any semblance of a normal childhood, a normal life was not something he was permitted to have. After everything they did to him, they got exactly what they wanted—a weapon. Adam’s work became well-known, and he wasn’t doing jobs just for the family who bought him. They would have him take-on various other jobs as well to rake in extra cash. His clients could now range from a regular civilian with a grudge to politicians.
