♦ Once there was a girl, a strange little knight. ♦
She lived in Chess, a game of pure fright.
Everyone killed, or sought to be dead,
She watched each day, misery in her head.
They took her arms, her flesh, her skin.
It was all she could do to recall what had been.
They made her a monster, a creature of metal,
Gone was the girl who'd been called a rose petal.
They sent her out to battle,
and each day did her limbs rattle.
She looked at those creatures of flesh,
their hearts pure, innocent, fresh.
"I wish I had a heart," the girl did say,
trying to think, think back to that day.
The memory of beating beneath her fingertips,
the thought is fuzzy, and repeatedly it slips.
She can only just grasp it,
barely in her mind does it fit.
She remembers that she was not always dead,
A creature with a programmed metal head.
And though she was forced to fight,
all day and all night,
from that day she was free,
she could remember the feeling of glee.
Even as she sparked and fizzed,
her life being gone, already lived,
she searched, sad, hoping it was true,
and beneath her fingertips, found a heart beating through.
As her spirit faded away,
her life beginning to fray,
she thought only one thing in her fright,

Turns out I'm a poet, and I didn't even know it.
I'm done now!
Honestly, this skin was really fun to make. The idea of a girl dressed like that just kind of appeared in my head, and I started to make her but thought it'd be kind of interesting to make her into a cyborg. I wound up changing the whole thing and eventually came up with the whole idea of a cyborg knight in a game of chess.
