Aquarion Evol is a sequel anime to Genesis of Aquarion

Aquarion Evol takes place on Vega(Earth more or less) were human females are being kidnapped in human raids by robot beings called Abductors. The only defending humanity from this threat are the human operated robots called Aquaria that rely on the power of their pilots.

In the chaos and distress of an Abductor raid Amata Sora and his "ahem Friend" Mikano awaken the Legendary Mech Aquarion! from its legendary slumber.
