Anduin Wrynn - WoM #2
Anduin Llane Wrynn is the King of Stormwind, High King of the Alliance, and commander of all Alliance forces since the death of his father, Varian Wrynn. After the abduction of King Varian when Anduin was just a boy, he was named King of Stormwind under the regency of Bolvar Fordragon until Varian returned. Years later, he assumed the throne permanently upon his father's death at the Battle for the Broken Shore during the third invasion of the Burning Legion.
In contrast to his decisive warrior father, Anduin is contemplative and diplomatic, as well as a priest of the Church of the Holy Light. Similar in ways to his surrogate aunt Jaina Proudmoore prior to Theramore's Fall, Anduin sought a peaceful way to end the conflict between the Alliance and Horde. In his endeavors, he has made personal friends of several powerful figures outside the Alliance, including Baine Bloodhoof, the August Celestials, and Wrathion.
