"Arlo, the cave dweller." - ???Born in the Taiga Tribe, Arlo lived with his mother Arlette, father William, and the tribe people.
As a child, Arlo would watch as his father helped others, including the tribe's people and even the funny-looking villagers.
A group of their most potent and smartest would often go on journeys to acquire resources. Most of the time, the trips would advance to the plains and forests.
However, they had to make preparations to head to the mountains on certain occasions to find necessary resources.
William would often go on these journeys due to his quick thinking and capability in high-risk situations.
With every different type of Tribes, there will always be traditions that differentiate one from another.
With the Taiga Tribe, the Taiga people have to be wise and powerful in number while in the face of battle
Insight of this, a simple tradition has ingrained itself into the Taiga people.
This tradition was to give the firstborn a family heirloom that could help them in times of danger.
Of course, unlike celebrations, these traditions were strategic, for this custom would only occur when the head of the family would possibly not come home after voyages or battle.
One fateful day, Arlo's father, William, gave him the family heirloom.
This heirloom was a pickaxe; this has served Arlo's family for generations, especially in times of need.
However, although a pickaxe was reasonably common to have as an heirloom, this pickaxe was something unlike any other.
They called it a Netherite Pickaxe, passed down to its origin's unknown depths; this was a blood-linked treasure.
And as tradition foretold, Arlo's father did not come back from the journey he had taken.
The disappearance of William was a massive loss to the tribe, both in strength and in sorrow.
News traveled quickly through the trees.
The rivaling tribes caught wind of the loss, taking it to their advantage, spreading rumors, challenging the Taiga tribe, though, never really winning.
The constant losing to challenges and mere spite angered the rivaling tribes so much; they decided to taunt the son of William, Arlo.
"He's as weak as his Father!"
"He sure is from the Taiga trees; Afterall, he is a twig of a boy!"
"His father probably felt pity to have such a weak son and decided to run off! Hahaha!"
These words kept Arlo awake and on edge at night.
"Father was not weak, but what they say about me is true... I am quite frail-looking."
Arlo never gave in, for he knew that his enemies only wanted a reaction out of him. So, he did the exact opposite.
The hurtful words served a bigger purpose for Arlo; he used it to reflect in himself and see whether it was a point of weakness he needed to work on or a mere bluff.
After the many pestering years, he became of age to go on journeys, just like his father had done all those years ago.
All the training worked off; now, he was stronger, bigger, and prepared to confront any beasts' awakening.
Arlette, Arlo's mother, was worried about whether or not he would come back.
"Mother, I'll be fine." He said while holding her hand.
"Come back, please..." she whispered sorrowfully.
To aid Arlette's worries, he grabbed her lime green bandana she had used to wipe her tears and gave her his cherry red bandana in return.
"Now I'll have you by my side, and I'll be by your side. We won't be alone!" Arlo said happily.
She smiled and hugged Arlo.
"My sweet boy. My strong, sweet boy."
After saying their goodbyes, the group and Arlo were ready to set off on their journey.
Throughout all the years of teasing and hurt, Arlo had one goal in mind after his father's disappearance.
"I will find you, father, and I will bring you home." Arlo muttered as he traveled with the group.
And their first stop. . .
